Leg Warmers
One of the benefits of heading into the colder weather is the opportunity it gives us to layer up. Brushed cotton over cotton jersey, woollen knitwear over chambray, all topped off with tweed, or a warm waterproof. Now we can put on hats and caps, a bright new scarf, break in those new brogues…but what about the legs, we hear you ask? With shorts stowed away for another year, we are talking about corduroy and twill, denim and drill, needlecord, wool and tweed, yes, gentlemen it is indeed… Trouser Time!
Moleskin Trousers
in Loden
Soft and tough, yet warm and cool - such are the contradictory qualities of moleskin, which isn't even made of moles, but 100% brushed cotton. Alongside the traditional Loden green pictured, there are five, deep earthy tones tochoose from, or choose them all and give your legs a winter treat!
Drill Jeans
in Navy
Drill is associated with workwear, given its dense, sturdy cotton weave. However, with our vivid colour palette it becomes a versatile and hard-wearing practical option for casual wear, Well-cut and comfortable, our soft and durable drill jeans just get better with time.
County Corduroy Trousers
in Moss Green
If we had to select one item that represents our work at Trouser Towers, it would be our County Cords. We have been making these from the get-go, they are our hardy perennials: sturdy, warm and hard-wearing, yet comfortable and soft to the touch. Warm enough for the coldest winter, the 100% cotton wale makes them wearable all year round. An adjustable waist, durable taped seams and more pockets than a snooker hall make these cords our sine qua non!
Donegal Tweed Trousers
in Bronze
When we think of winter, we think of Tweed: natural, warm and organic. As Irish as the River Eske, Donegal Tweed has been the lifeblood of that town since Paddy McGinty’s goat exploded. While those clever Irish weavers make a fine pair of trousers, they also make jackets and waistcoats for the full Monty*.
*The phrase 'The Full Monty' derives from a Three-Piece Suit from Montague
Burton, 'The Tailor of Tast'.
Corduroy Drawstring Waist Trousers
in Blue
If, a few years ago, our trouser designer had suggested a ‘drawstring waist’ on anything other than pyjamas, they might have been summarily dismissed. However, we noticed that they have become fashionable with the ‘young blades’ which has led us to reconsider; we are traditional, but not averse to progress! These drawstring trousers are almost indecently comfortable but, in this season’s luxurious needlecord version, warm and stylish too. Unconstructed and unconstricted, they are as comfortable as your PJs, but will not raise an eyebrow in the pub!
WWool & Silk Trousers
in Tan
Superfine wool combined with 20% silk, make these the most luxurious trousers that will ever grace your pins. Stylishly cut, they are supremely comfortable and drape elegantly over a loafer or brogue, teamed with a crisp shirt and a merino wool cardi.
