Supreme quality pure wool Donegal Tweed, woven in County Tipperary, Ireland by John Hanly & Co., a maker of fine fabrics since 1893. From a bracken brown base the distinctive weave is flecked with an array of colour. For winter trouser warmth, Donegal tweed hits the nail on the head. Comfortable to wear, and the fine weave makes it flexible too. Lined to the knee for added comfort.

It is of excellent quality
The cut has been changed since my last purchase a few years ago, and the new cut simply does not make sense. The side seams are not at their natural positions, and as a result the pants do not sit properly. This cannot be easily fixed with an alteration as it would require a complete remodelling. Too bad. Had to do an alteration anyhow and then still compromised on how the result looks like. This product is an abuse of a high-quality fabrique.

Waist was slightly tight compared to other same size trousers. Maybe buy one size up in future.

Unlike the trousers I’ve bought so far, these ones are a tad smaller for a 32”W 27”L. A wee bit thinner than I expected but apart from that, they’re very nice.
It is hard to find classy trousers. Donegal Tweed at this price is unbelievable. Normally it would cost two or three times this price. Super design, cut and fit.
