I like it! Purchased for cool weather and lounging around the house .Fits the purpose superbly even though my wife hates it and thinks it makes me look too old.

Maxwell Alderton
Hove (“actually”) seafront is essentially Brighton without the hordes of seasonal tourists, making it perfect for a lesser-populated summer amble or beach barbecue with friends, as well as a bracing winter walkies with one’s four-legged best friend. That’s where you’ll find Maxwell Alderton most days, with his miniature poodle Pip. That is, when they're not hard at work at Peter Christian HQ, in the surprisingly industrious village of Partridge Green in West Sussex.
Representing the second generation at the family firm, Max heads the constantly evolving marketing department, with the current prime objective of nurturing the burgeoning business in the United States, which seems a thousand miles from rural West Sussex (3,466 miles to be precise).
I've never had a style icon, but I've definitely had friends and people who have influenced my style...
Having grown up in the area, it's fair to say Max broadened his horizons before returning to Sussex to settle into his career, having lived in both Brazil and Thailand. Describing his style as casual with a splash of formal, he's partial to an NYC thrift shop to find unique and characterful pieces to add to his wardrobe. Taking sartorial influences from friends and family (understandably) rather than specific style icons, Max enthuses over his newest love: “I've got really into drawstrings trousers of late… I'm a massive drawstring trouser aficionado!”.
Here Max wears a 100% British wool navy shawl cardigan over a blue Viyella wool and cotton shirt to keep out the coastal chills whilst remaining sharp (Pip won't stand for sloppy dressing). Extra warmth and smart-casual steering are provided by a Vedoneire plain white T-shirt. Max has chosen a sand corduroy variant from his cherished drawstring pants armoury, with a favorite Peter Christian cap that is no longer available (apologies if it caught your eye. You could always make Max an offer via postcard to PC HQ).
